A Holiday treat!
½ cup Water
1 cup Sugar, raw sugar adds a "nutty" taste
1 stick Cinnamon
1/8 tsp Allspice
12 oz Fresh Cranberries, 1 bag
1 Apple
2/3 cup Walnuts, chopped and toasted
3 Tbs Calvados or Brandy (optional)

1) Combine in a 2 qt. the water, sugar, cinnamon stick, Allspice and half of the cranberries. Cover and cook over medium heat until vapor escapes from the valve; close the valve, turn to low and cook about 8 - 10 minutes or until the cranberries are about all popped.
2) Add remaining cranberries.
3) While the cranberries are cooking, cut the apple by cutting in quarters, cut out the core and seeds. Place the skin side to the back of the Kitchen Kutter and cut using #2 cone. Add to cranberries along with the toasted nuts. Stir and cook about 5 additional minutes. Cranberries should be tender but still in larger pieces.
4) Remove from the heat and stir in the Calvados or Brandy. Cover and allow to sit about 5 minutes.
5) Stir. Serve warm or chilled.
